Sequential Analysis

February 9, 2018 by Jose Rossello

Also found as Sequential Monitoring, it is a statistical analysis where the sample size is not fixed in advance. Instead, data are evaluated as they are collected, and further sampling is stopped in accordance with a pre-defined stopping rule as soon as significant results are observed. It has applications for signal detection in the framework of clinical trials and in post-market surveillance.
